Make a Worship Songbook
Turn your worship team’s chord charts, lyric sheets, and hymn arrangements into a printed book with chapters by service type, season, or key. Print a copy for every team member.
Why Print a Worship Songbook?
No screens on stage
A printed book keeps the focus on worship, not on a phone or tablet. No notifications, no dead batteries, no glare under stage lights.
Everyone has the same charts
No more "which version are you looking at?" Every team member has identical chord charts with the same keys, arrangements, and page numbers.
Ready for any service
Flip to the right chapter for Sunday morning, midweek, youth night, or a special service. All your songs organized in one place.
Chapter Ideas for a Worship Songbook
Use MakeMySongBook’s chapter dividers to organize songs in a way that matches how your team plans services.
By service moment
Opening & Praise, Offertory, Communion, Response, Closing. Mirrors the flow of a typical service so the worship leader can plan sets quickly.
By season
Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Ordinary Time. Pull from the right chapter as the liturgical calendar turns.
By key
Group songs in G, A, C, D, E together. Makes it easy to build a set that flows without awkward key changes between songs.
By energy level
High energy praise, mid-tempo, slow & reflective. Build a worship arc that takes the congregation from celebration to contemplation.
Hymns vs. contemporary
Traditional hymns in one section, modern worship songs in another. Works well for churches that blend both styles.
By team configuration
Full band songs, acoustic-only songs, vocals-only songs. Know at a glance which songs work with whoever shows up to play.
Build Your Worship Book in 5 Steps
From scattered chord charts to a printed book for every team member.
- 1
Gather your chord charts and lyric sheets as PDFs
Export from Planning Center, SongSelect, or your worship planning tool. Download from CCLI. Export from notation apps or scan printed sheets. Name each file clearly — "10,000 Reasons - G.pdf" becomes the song title automatically.
- 2
Upload to MakeMySongBook
Drag and drop your PDFs into the builder. Multi-page charts are handled automatically — the tool keeps pages together so your arrangement stays intact.
- 3
Organize into chapters
Add chapter dividers for each section — "Opening & Praise," "Communion," "Hymns," "Christmas." Drag songs into the right chapter and reorder until the flow matches how your team plans services.
- 4
Design the cover
Set your church name, a subtitle like "Worship Team Songbook 2026," and pick a color theme. Upload your church logo for a professional touch.
- 5
Generate, print, and distribute
One click generates a print-ready PDF with auto table of contents, page numbers, and song title headers. Print a copy for every team member — guitars, keys, vocals, everyone has the same book.

What the Tool Adds to Your Worship Book
You upload the chord charts. MakeMySongBook handles the book formatting.

Smart page alignment
Multi-page charts always start on the correct side for double-sided printing. No taping pages together.
Custom cover with your logo
Your church name, team name, color theme, and logo. Looks professional enough to hand out to the congregation.
Tips for a Great Worship Songbook
- Include the key in the file name ("Way Maker - E.pdf") so it shows up in the table of contents. Saves time when planning sets.
- Create a "New Songs" chapter at the back for songs you're introducing. Move them to the main section once the team knows them.
- Print on A4 for music stand readability. Use A5 Booklet if vocalists want a compact book they can hold during practice.
- Use the Modern or Minimal divider style for a clean, contemporary feel that matches most church aesthetics.
- Add a chapter description on each divider page — e.g., "Songs for the opening 15 minutes of Sunday service."
- Print extra copies for guest musicians, visiting worship leaders, or to keep in the sound booth.
- Update and reprint each quarter or semester. Add new songs, remove ones you've retired, keep the book current.
