Make a Songbook for Your Band
Turn your setlists, chord charts, and lead sheets into a printed book every member can use on stage, at rehearsal, and on the road. One book — every song, every key, every arrangement.
Why Bands Print Songbooks
No dead air on stage
A printed setlist book means no scrolling through phones or shuffling loose sheets between songs. Flip and play.
Everyone on the same page
Literally. Every member has the same book with the same arrangements, keys, and page numbers. Call out "page 42" and go.
Survives any gig
Paper doesn't run out of battery, crash mid-set, or wash out in stage lighting. It works outdoors, in dim pubs, and under spotlights.
Band Books You Can Build
Different situations call for different books. Here are the most common ones bands create.
Gig setlist book
One master book with all your gig-ready songs organized by set. Flip to the next song, no fumbling. Print a copy for each member.
Gig book guide →Rehearsal book
Include works-in-progress, new songs to learn, and notes on arrangements. Update and reprint as the set evolves — it only takes minutes.
New member onboarding book
Hand a new member the band book and they have every song, every arrangement, ready to learn from day one. No "can you send me those charts?"
Open mic / jam repertoire
A portable book of songs you can play at any jam session. Organized by key, genre, or mood for quick picks when someone says "play something!"

Build Your Band Book in 5 Steps
From a pile of loose charts to a printed book for every member.
- 1
Collect your charts as PDFs
Chord charts, lead sheets, lyric sheets, tabs — anything your band uses on stage. Export from notation apps, download from music sites, or scan handwritten charts. Name files clearly: "Don't Stop Believin' - E.pdf".
Find sheet music sources → - 2
Upload to MakeMySongBook
Drag and drop your PDFs into the builder. Multi-page charts stay together automatically. Upload your entire repertoire — there are no file limits. No account needed.
- 3
Organize by set, genre, or energy
Add chapter dividers — "Set 1," "Set 2," "Encores" or group by genre, key, or energy level. Drag songs between chapters and reorder until the flow feels right.
- 4
Add your band name and logo to the cover
Customize the cover with your band name, a subtitle like "2026 Band Book," and pick a color theme. Upload your band logo for a professional look.
- 5
Generate PDF, print a copy for each member
One click generates a print-ready PDF with auto table of contents, page numbers, song title headers, and smart page alignment for double-sided printing. Print and bind a copy for every member.

What the Tool Adds to Your Band Book
You upload the charts. MakeMySongBook handles the book formatting so it looks professional and works on stage.
Table of contents
Every song listed with page number and chapter. Scan it before the gig to confirm your set order.
Chapter dividers
Full-page set breaks with 4 divider styles to choose from. Know exactly where Set 2 starts — no guessing.
Song title headers
Every page shows the song title in the corner. Glance down mid-song and confirm you're on the right chart.
Page numbers
Call out a page number and every band member flips there. Faster than naming the song during a loud soundcheck.
Smart page alignment
Multi-page charts always start on the correct side for double-sided printing. No mid-song page turns when you bind the book.
Cover with band logo
Your band name, logo, color theme, and artwork. Looks professional sitting on a music stand or in a gig bag.
Tips for a Great Band Book
- Include key and tempo in the file name ("Sweet Caroline - C - 126bpm.pdf") so they show up in the table of contents.
- Use A4 for music stands. Use A5 Booklet for a compact book you can prop on a keyboard or clip to a mic stand.
- Print on 120gsm+ paper — it survives sweaty hands, outdoor wind, and the occasional spilled drink.
- Laminate the cover or use a clear plastic sleeve. Your band book will live in a gig bag and take a beating.
- Spiral-bind or comb-bind so the book lies flat on a music stand without springing shut.
- Keep a master PDF so you can reprint when songs are added or dropped. Regenerating takes minutes.
- Print one extra copy as a backup — someone will always forget theirs at the last gig.
- Color-code chapter dividers by set so the band can see which section they're in at a glance.
