Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Your song PDFs are put together in your browser. If you sign in, your books are saved to your account. When you use Engraved print, the tune is sent to our engraving service and the finished PDF is stored in your account. When you use Ask AI, your question and the tune are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to write the answer. We use basic analytics and do not sell any data.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Since MakeMySongBook is a client-side tool with no user accounts, we do not collect:

• Your PDF files or any content within them
• Personal information such as name, email, or address
• Payment information (the service is free)
• Login credentials (there are no accounts)

2. Analytics

We use the following analytics services to understand how the site is used:

• Google Analytics — collects anonymous usage data such as page views, referral sources, and general device/browser information. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out using a browser extension or by blocking cookies.
• Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. All data is aggregated and anonymous.

3. Cookies

MakeMySongBook itself does not set any cookies. However, Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These are standard analytics cookies and do not contain personal information. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings.

4. Local Storage

MakeMySongBook may use your browser's local storage to save your book configuration (such as song order, chapter names, and cover settings) so you can return to your work later. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Services

Besides the analytics services above: Ask AI sends your question and the tune you are working on to Anthropic, the maker of Claude, to write the answer. Engraved print runs on Vercel, our hosting provider; finished PDFs are stored with Supabase in your account. We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or marketing pixels.

6. Children's Privacy

MakeMySongBook does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, the service can be used by people of all ages.
